Retired greyhounds make great pets and so we support the work of the Peterborough Retired Greyhound Trust. They are always looking for loving forever homes for the ex-racing greyhounds and they want to hear from you!!!!
Their aim is to re-home greyhounds that have retired from racing at Peterborough.
A greyhound can make a very loving and affectionate pet, sadly as we get older we become slower & can no longer compete with the young, even if we think we can! Yes, we are all getting older & slower by the day.
But it does not mean we are finished, Oh No, there is plenty of life left in the old (or not so old) dogs yet.
You can come and see the Trust, either at the stadium where they have a 'Meet & Greet' about once a month, when some of the dogs looking for a home will be outside the stadium from approximately 6-7pm (ring to check dates). Or you can go & visit the dogs in the kennels. They do not have a central kennel, the dogs remain in their current kennels until they find a new home.
