Here is a sample of our raceview restaurant menu (subject to availability), we also offer a children’s menu available on request:
In the trap (starters)
Soup of the Day*
Prawn Cocktail with King Prawns, atlantic prawns bound with a Marie Rose sauce, on a bed of lettuce and garnished with King Prawns.
Fanned Melon*, a succulent fanned melon with a cranberry and port compote.
Country Style Pate, traditional style coarse country pate with meadow herbs served with toasted brioche and red onion chutney.
Mushroom, Tomato and Goats Cheese Ciabatta*, toasted ciabatta bread layered with a slice of goats cheese and topped with a white wine, mushroom and tomato sauce.
Italian Three Cheese, a medley of fontal, parmesan and mozzarella cheese coated in a herb infused crumb. Served with a redcurrant and chilli jelly.
Round the track (maincourse)
Lamb Shank (£1.50 extra), tender lamb shank on a bed of champ (potato and spring onion mash) served with a red wine and winter vegetable gravy.
Pork Loin Dijionaise, grilled pork loin finished with a three mustard, white wine, cream and spring onion sauce.
Spanish Chicken, supreme of chicken, slow cooked in tomato, chorizo, barlotti beans, white wine, onion, garlic and parsley.
Homemade Steak, Mushroom and Ale Pie, tender beef steak with button mushrooms in a rich Murphy’s stout gravy with a puff pastry top.
Stuffed Plaice, gently steamed plaice stuffed with spinach and mushrooms with a cheese and white wine sauce.
Broccoli and Brie Bake*, florets of broccoli combined within a creamy brie, onion and paprika sauce, topped with sautéed potatoes. Finished with a cheese and crumb crust.
Five Bean Chilli Casserole and Rice*, spicy bean casserole of barlotti, haricot, kidney, black turtle and cannellini beans, with sweetcorn, peppers and garlic in a spicy tomato sauce.
Grilled Gammon with Pineapple
Grilled 8oz Sirloin Steak (£2 extra)
Grilled 8oz Fillet Steak (£5 extra)
