In the trap (starters)
Soup of the Day *
Prawn Cocktail, Atlantic prawns bound with a Marie Rose sauce, on a bed of mixed leaves, accompanied by wholemeal bread.
Fanned Melon *, a succulent fanned melon with kiwi slices, served with a mulled wine wild berry compote.
Country Style Pate, traditional style course country pate with meadow herbs, served with melba toast.
Thai Vegetable Spring Roll *, a selection of vegetables wrapped in a cracker style pastry roll, served with sweet chilli dip.
Round the track (maincourse)
Lamb Shank, tender lamb shank braised with root vegetables of carrot, swede, leek and served in a rich gravy.
Chicken Paprika, supreme of chicken, gently poached and coated in a mild paprika sauce, which includes onion, garlic, white wine, tomato and capsicum peppers, finished with cream.
Pork Loin, grilled pork loin finished with an apricot, sage, white wine and cream sauce.
Roast Duck (£1.50 extra), half roast duck, accompanied by an orange and cranberry glaze laced with red wine and Port.
Caribbean Salmon, fillet of salmon, gently steamed, finished with spring onion, white wine, fish stock, coconut milk, capsicum peppers and ginger.
Steak, Ale & Mushroom Pudding, lean steak and mushrooms encased in a suet pudding, served with Murphy’s stout gravy.
Fillet of Cod, loins of cod, gently steamed, finished with ham and peas in a white wine and cream sauce.
Vegetable Balti with Rice * a mix of cauliflower, chic peas, carrots, onion, and garlic, bound in a traditional balti curry sauce, served on a bed of rice.
Broccoli Brie Bake * florets of broccoli in a creamy brie sauce, with a layer of sautéed potatoes and topped with a cheese crumble.
Grilled Gammon with Pineapple available with Pepper or Red Wine Sauce (£1.50 extra). Weight is approximate before cooking.
Grilled 8oz Sirloin Steak (£1.00 extra) available with Pepper or Red Wine Sauce (£1.50 extra). Weight is approximate before cooking.
Grilled 8oz Fillet Steak (£5.00 extra) available with Pepper or Red Wine Sauce (£1.50 extra). Weight is approximate before cooking.
All main dishes are served with two Vegetables, French Fries and one other Potato dish.
